Mulled Apple & Grape Juice Mocktail

      • 375 ml Apple juice
      • 750 ml Grape juice
      • 350 ml water
      • 1 pack Spice Zen Mulled Wine Spice Blend
      • 1 Orange; sliced round for decoration
      • 3 tablespoon Sugar (optional Agave syrup or Honey)
      • 85 grams Almongs; blanched and slivered
      • 85 grams Raisins or Sultanas

 

 

  1. Put sugar, water and the Spice Zen Mulled Wine Spice Blend pack in a large non-reactive pot over medium heat. Stir it and let it simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Bring to boil and continue boiling for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to steep overnight. (Boil for 15 minutes and allow to steep for at least 2-3 hours, if you cannot leave it overnight.)
  3. Mix the spice mixture syrup with Apply juice and Grape juice and place over medium heat (but do not boil) for about 10 minutes. Strain and serve warm in a heatproof glass with raisins/sultanas, sliced oranges and almonds in each cup.
  4. Optional garnishes: citrus slices (lemon and/or lime), Cinnamon Quills, Star Anise
  5. This spiced mulled juice can also be served chilled over ice.
