Botanical Name: Matricaria chamomilla L.

Aromatic, beautiful and calming, dried Chamomile flowers belong to a herb of the daisy family. Chamomile is native to western Europe, India and western Asia and is also known as German Chamomile. For centuries, it has been used as a healing herb and as an evening tea.

Spice Zen’s organic dried Chamomile Flowers, sourced from Egypt, are premium quality, golden and have a fruity, refreshing and calming fragrance. These dried flowers can be used as a culinary herb, as pure Chamomile tea, in tea blends or in a potpourri. Sprinkle Chamomile in your salad, oatmeal or cereals, use as a flavouring in ice creams and custard or decorate cakes.

Chamomile is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, digestive and calming properties. It is popular as a tea to assist with gastritis, anxiety and sleep.

For best results brew 1 teaspoon of Chamomile per cup at 80 degree Celsius. Brew for 2-3 minutes for a delicate flavour or 3-5 minutes for a strong flavour. The pure Chamomile tea brews into a deep golden liquor with a rich, complex, floral and fruity aroma of apples. It has a bright, crisp and sweet flavour. It is smooth, full-bodied and a very relaxing, caffeine-free herbal tea.

Try out Spice Zen's popular hand-blended Chamomile tea blends with Licorice or with Lavender for a relaxing and calming drink.

Add Chamomile flowers to the bathwater, use as a hair-rinse or a facial steam for relaxation or to relieve the inflammation.

Organic Ingredient: Chamomile Flowers.
