Butterfly Pea Flowers are certified organic and directly sourced from the Chai Prakan District area, Chiang Mai, Thailand. These flowers are harvested in October before noon when the dew has evaporated, but the sun is not too harsh. Butterfly pea flowers are native to Southeast Asia and popular in Thai and Malaysian cuisine as a beverage and culinary ingredient.

Butterfly Pea Flower Tea is commonly known as 'blue tea', ‘blue magic tea’ or 'magical colour changing tea'. This premium caffeine-free tea/ tisane tastes very similar to green tea with a sweet floral aroma. You can enjoy a cuppa any time of the day.

It is popular in the exotic beverage world and beauty industry. Add it in cooking, baking, desserts, salads, cocktails, hot and cold beverages. In Ayurveda, it has been used for thousands of years as brain tonic, memory enhancer and for radiant skin.

Add lemon juice to change the colour to a vibrant purple, hibiscus to bright red/ Fuschia, turmeric to green and a spoon of honey will change it to a soft pink. A fascinating brewing experience!

Brewing Instructions: Rinse the teapot with warm water. Use 1 heap teaspoon of tea leaves per cup, add water at 95 degrees Celsius and brew for 3-4 minutes. Add honey and a squeeze of lemon or lemonade for a traditional Thai experience. For best results, brew with fresh or pure water. Enjoy it hot or as an iced tea!

Packaging: The loose-leaf tea is packed in a biodegradable liner. The liner is then packed in a premium paper tube that is food grade, fully biodegradable and recyclable.
