Peppercorns originally came from India, but is now cultivated in Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and South America.
We source Certified Organic, Tellicherry grade Black Pepper from Kerala, India. This is considered the best grade of Black Pepper in the world. It has a bold appearance, consistent colour, garbled uniformly and strong flavour (due to higher oil content). The softness of this pepper makes it ideal for peppermills. The whole pepper is packed in a biodegradable, resealable, stand-up paper bag.
Black Pepper can be used whole, ground coarse (also called cracked pepper) or ground fine. Black, white and green peppercorns are the same fruit with the difference in colour due to picking at varying stage of ripening and the processing method.
Black Pepper is good with eggs, fish, pork, chicken, salads, mild stews, soups, strawberries and tomatoes.
Black Pepper combines well with Basil, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander, Cumin, Garlic, Ginger, Nutmeg, Parsley, Rosemary, Thyme and Turmeric.
