Our Australian Black Tea is a single-origin tea from the Daintree Wilderness and Rainforest region of Far North Queensland.
While Australia may have inherited its love of tea from the British, a major Australian tea industry was never really attempted, due to the unsuitable climate in much of the country. However, the tropical Daintree, with its high rainfall, warm, humid temperatures and rich, alluvial soil proved to be fertile ground for boutique tea producers.
Tea from the Daintree Wilderness and Rainforest area is organically grown without any pesticides. As the only tea grown in this specific environment, Daintree tea has its own distinct characteristics. The local producers never blend their teas - it is always sold as a single origin tea, which has helped to spread its popularity among tea connoisseurs around the world.
The Daintree tea has a rich, earthy undertone (ideal for those who like a stronger cuppa) and a clear natural finish. It brews to dark reddish-brown colour. A short brew creates a medium strength bush tea, and it can be steeped for around 4 minutes for a bold tasting pick-me-up.
Brewing Instructions: For best results, brew 1 teaspoon per up for 2-4 minutes in water at 100 degrees Celsius. Add milk or sweetener to your taste.
Loose leaf tea.
Australian Ingredient: Australian Black tea.
No added sweeteners, preservatives, flavourings, dairy, flour, gluten, nuts, salt, sugar
