Spice Zen’s scrumptious Vegan Chilli Jam encompasses all the essentials of Thai and SE Asian cuisine. At the heart of the cuisine are four all-important elements: sweet, spicy, salty and sour, and this versatile condiment has them all in spades.

 

Packed with intense flavours, our Vegan Chilli Jam is fiery, smooth and tongue-tinglingly tangy all at the same time.

 

Savoury jams like this are a staple in SE Asian households and the secret ingredient in so many beloved dishes. It is used to flavour Tom Yum, green mango and papaya salads, stir-fries, noodles and fried rice dishes. It can also be used to season grilled calamari or fish and even goes great as a surprising twist in an otherwise standard grilled cheese sandwich!

 

A small spoonful of Spice Zen's Vegan Chilli Jam goes a long way. Smear it on toast with avocado. Swirl into vegan sour cream and slather on top of baked potatoes. Mix with vegan mayo to make a dip for fries or wedges. Melt smooth peanut butter and add the chilli jam to make an inviting Satay sauce.

 

For non-vegans, serve as a dip with pork floss buns or crispy pork rinds. Use it as a dip or a spread for barbecued meats, vegetables or fish cakes.

 

For rice or noodle dishes, use about a tablespoon per 2 cups of rice or noodles.
