Botanical name: Coriandrum sativum

We source Organic Coriander Seed from India and pack it in a Biodegradable, resealable, stand up paper bag.

Coriander Seeds are the dried seed of the coriander herb. It is used as a spice in whole form or ground. It has a warm, aromatic and mild citrus flavour and compliments both sweet and savoury dishes.

Coriander Seed is commonly used in Indian cooking as well as featuring in Asian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. It can be used in curries, added to savoury pickles, chutneys or casseroles and can be used in cakes and other baked goodies. Crushed whole coriander seeds are delicious for flavouring homemade burgers.

Coriander Seed is often used in the ground form (try our freshly Stoneground Coriander Seed) and is a popular component in spice mixtures including Garam Masala and Harissa. Dry roasting is the best way to maximise flavour of the Coriander Seed. Dry roasting enables the spice to take on a more robust floral aroma as the essential oils are released from the seed. Try our freshly Roasted Coriander Seed or our freshly Roasted Stoneground Coriander Seed.
