We handcraft our Stoneground Cinnamon using Organic Cinnamon quilling (true verum) sourced from Sri Lanka to ensure purity and quality of our product.
The Cinnamon quilling is freshly stoneground, on receipt of your order, to bring out an intense and sweet aroma. Stoneground spices have a naturally uneven, earthy texture that adds a rustic mouth feel. This is immediately packed in a recyclable, amber coloured, glass jar, with an airtight induction seal, to maximise freshness of the product – you will get a strong aroma of fresh ground Cinnamon when you open the jar.
Cinnamon (true verum) also called Ceylon cinnamon sticks come from the inner bark of a tropical tree and have a delicate, sweet, woody, aromatic fragrance.
Cinnamon is used for cooking, baking and flavouring in most cultures. Stoneground Cinnamon is a terrific compliment in hot drinks like cider, tea, coffee, hot cocoa and liqueurs. It can be used in many dessertrecipes such as apple pie, doughnuts, cinnamon buns and spicy candies. In the United States a ground Cinnamon and sugar mix is often used to flavour cereals, bread-based dishes, such as toast and fruits, especially apples.
