Fun ways to use our Hibiscus Rose Tisane other than tea!

We are excited to share many ways you can use our Hibiscus Rose Tisane at home! Someone say homemade lockdown cocktails?

This versatile product is a divine, cooling, refreshing and hydrating caffeine-free blend of the finest organic herbs and spices. It is a delightful, well-balanced combination of popular Hibiscus tea and Rose tea.

So here are four different recipes for our Hibiscus Rose Tisane.


Hibiscus Ice tea

A refreshing way to stay cool and relax this summer!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 tablespoon  Spice Zen Hibiscus Rose Tisane
  • 4 cups spring water
  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup or sugar syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Mint leaves to garnish

Method

Boil water in a pot. Once it starts boiling, add  Spice Zen Hibiscus tisane and let it simmer for a minute. Turn off the flame and cover the pot. Let it brew for 15-20 minutes or longer for intense flavour and colour. Strain it.

Add honey, maple syrup or sugar and mix well. Chill it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Serve it with ice cubes and mint. Enjoy.


Hibiscus Rose Ice Popsicles

A fun way to keep the kids busy on the weekends! Yum

Ingredients

Method

Boil water in a pot. Once it starts boiling, add  Spice Zen Hibiscus tisane and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the flame and cover the pot. Let it brew for 15-20 minutes or longer for intense flavour and colour. Strain it. Add honey, maple syrup or sugar and mix well. Add a pinch of salt. Optional - add pieces of fresh fruits or lemon rind and a little bit of coconut cream. Pour into popsicle moulds and freeze for up to 4 hours.


Hibiscus Rose Syrup for Cocktails

A natural way to colour and make exciting cocktails!

Ingredients

Method

Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring it to a boil and stir till all the sugar dissolves. Add the  Hibiscus Rose Tisane to the pan and simmer it for a minute. Turn off the heat and let it steep for 15-20 minutes.

Strain the syrup and store it in an airtight container in the fridge.

Add it to mocktails, cocktails, desserts or ice creams. Replace sugar syrup with our Spice Zen Hibiscus Rose syrup in Gin and Tonic, Margaritas or Mojito.


Hibiscus Rose Tequilla Sparkler

For 1 cocktail:

  • 1 shot (30 ml) Tequilla
  • 1 shot (30 ml) Spice Zen Hibiscus Rose Syrup
  • 2 shots (60 ml) sparkling Rosé or sparkling wine
  • 2-3 mint leaves plus a sprig to garnish

Method

Fill the cocktail shaker with tequila, Hibiscus Rose syrup, mint leaves and ice cubes. Shake it for 30 seconds.

Pour the mix into a Champagne flute and add sparkling rosé or any other sparkling wine. Garnish it with a mint sprig.
