Darjeeling Orange Valley Green Tea is a rare second-flush jewel, a handcrafted expression of Himalayan summer, where warm days and cool mountain air coax fuller, sweeter, gently muscatel flavours into every leaf. Harvested from the renowned certified organic Orange Valley Tea Estate, perched on the high blue-mountain ridge above Darjeeling town, this tea reflects a terroir shaped by century-old chinary bushes, pristine altitude and a citrus-kissed microclimate.
Each leaf is hand-picked, lightly withered for 24 hours to develop complexity, and minimally processed using traditional artisanal techniques that preserve the tea’s natural clarity and fragrance. The dry leaf is a beautiful mix of mature mauve-green tones with silver tips, signalling the refined craftsmanship that defines the estate’s summer green teas.
When steeped, it unfurls into a light emerald liquor, smooth and mellow with softly toasted nuttiness, gentle fruit notes and the signature muscatel brightness unique to Darjeeling’s second flush. Summer-sweet, crisp and refined, this tea pairs effortlessly with light foods and makes a beautifully refreshing afternoon cup.
Hand-packed in small batches at our gluten-free Sydney facility, each cylinder preserves the tea’s delicate aroma, natural sweetness and haute couture character.
