Description
Description
Our Ceremonial Matcha is crafted in the Nishio region of Japan, a region celebrated for its fertile volcanic soils and centuries-old tea craftsmanship. The tea bushes are shade-grown before harvest, a revered Japanese method that enhances chlorophyll levels, boosts natural amino acids and deepens the tea’s vivid colour, sweetness and umami richness.
In Japan, true Matcha begins with Tencha, shade-grown green tea leaves that are harvested, steamed, dried and left unrolled to preserve their delicate structure. The stems and veins are removed, and the remaining soft leaf material is then ultra-slow stone-milled into a fine, vibrant powder. This traditional Tencha-to-Matcha process is what gives ceremonial Matcha its silky texture, luminous colour and balanced, elegant umami.
Hand-packed in recyclable amber glass jars at our gluten-free Sydney facility, this Matcha is carefully protected from light and oxidation to preserve its freshness and delicate aroma.

Wellness Tradition
Japanese Tea Rituals
Ceremonial Matcha has long been enjoyed in Japan for the presence, harmony and focus it brings to daily life, a quiet moment of pause rooted in centuries of tea ceremony tradition.
Ceremonial Matcha contains naturally occurring caffeine. Because you drink the entire leaf, the effect can feel more pronounced than steeped green tea; yet in Japanese tea tradition it is valued for its smooth, sustained lift, traditionally associated with its natural L-theanine.
Caution
Everybody is unique. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sensitive to caffeine or taking medication, please enjoy mindfully and consult your practitioner if unsure.
