Description
Botanical Name: Vanilla planifolia
Madagascan vanilla is widely regarded as the global benchmark for vanilla quality. Grown in the humid tropical climate of Madagascar and cured slowly using traditional methods, the pods develop their aroma over months of careful harvesting, sweating and drying.
These certified organic pods are selected for their length, flexibility, moisture content and aromatic intensity. When split open, they reveal thousands of tiny oil-rich seeds that carry vanilla’s most concentrated fragrance. The aroma is creamy and floral with rounded sweetness, layered with subtle cocoa, caramel and warm spice undertones.
Unlike extract or powder, whole vanilla pods offer both immediate intensity from the seeds and sustained infusion from the pod itself. One bean can flavour multiple preparations over time, making it both expressive and enduring in the kitchen.
Quality checked and packed at our gluten free Sydney facility in airtight glass to preserve moisture, aroma and suppleness.

Wellness Note
European & Global Culinary Traditions
Vanilla has long been treasured across global culinary traditions for its comforting aroma and ability to soften and round flavour. Its fragrance is traditionally associated with warmth, familiarity and sensory ease.
Whole vanilla pods are valued not only for flavour but for the ritual of preparation. Splitting and scraping the bean reflects a slower, more intentional approach to cooking, where aroma and patience are central to the experience.
