Herbes de Provence is the aromatic soul of southern France, a timeless medley of herbs that reflects the lavender-lined hillsides, wild meadows and sun-warmed air of the Provence region. Sprinkled over grilled meats, tomatoes, potatoes, fish, braises and slow-cooked vegetables, it brings freshness, depth and an elegant herbal lift to classic French and Mediterranean cooking.
Spice Zen’s certified organic Herbes de Provence is handcrafted in small batches at our gluten-free Sydney facility using premium thyme, marjoram, rosemary, basil, oregano, fennel seed, savory, sage and bay leaf. Select spices are gently roasted before blending to preserve their natural oils and capture the clean, lively aroma that defines an authentic Provençal mix.
This salt free, versatile and balanced blend can be added early in cooking for layered depth or scattered at the end for a bright, herbaceous finish. Use lightly for freshness or build gradually for a more rustic French expression.

Fresh and herbaceous with soft floral notes, sweet earthiness, gentle savoury bitterness and a mint-clean finish.
How to Use
- Use 1 tbsp per 600 g of ingredients when roasting, grilling or baking. Toss with olive oil before cooking for even coating.
- Add 1–2 tsp per pot (serves 2–4) to soups, stews or tomato-based dishes. Stir in early for depth or finish with a light sprinkle for freshness.
- Whisk ½–1 tsp into ½ cup olive oil or vinaigrette for dressings, marinades or bread dipping.
- Add a pinch to egg dishes, warm grains or sautéed dishes just before serving for a bright herbal lift.
