Description
Botanical Name: Cinnamomum cassia
Deeply warming and naturally sweet, cassia cinnamon has been cherished across the world for its bold aroma and nostalgic flavour. Its rich, spicy-sweet character has made it a cornerstone of festive baking, spiced drinks, curries, slow-cooked dishes and traditional desserts for centuries.
Our certified organic cassia bark is finely milled at origin, then quality-checked and carefully packed at our gluten-free Sydney facility. The fine texture dissolves easily into liquids, doughs and batters, releasing aroma instantly when added to hot dishes.
Cassia cinnamon is sweeter, richer and more intense than Ceylon (true verum) cinnamon, making it ideal for baking, chai blends, mulled drinks, Middle Eastern braises, curries, spice rubs and warm breakfast dishes.

-
Balance Vata, bringing warmth, grounding and steadiness.
-
Balance Kapha, helping counter heaviness and sluggishness with its warming aroma.
-
Increase Pitta slightly, due to its natural heat, best used in small amounts for Pitta-dominant individuals, especially in warmer seasons. (Traditional usage context only.)
