Description
Elegant, tranquil and visually captivating, Spice Zen’s Chrysanthemum Tea is crafted from premium chrysanthemum buds harvested just before they bloom, the moment when sweetness, aroma and natural vibrancy are at their peak. These unopened buds, rarely available in certified organic form in Australia, offer a softness and clarity unmatched by fully opened blossoms or commercial-grade chrysanthemum teas.
Sourced from high-mountain organic farms in Chai Prakan, Chiang Mai, the buds grow in cool mist, mineral-rich soils and naturally secluded terrain. This pristine environment produces blossoms with gentle floral sweetness and a radiant golden hue, a refined expression of chrysanthemum long cherished across East Asia.
When steeped, each bud opens slowly in warm water, unfurling like a tiny lantern. This natural blooming ritual turns even a simple cup into a moment of quiet attention, adding a visual element that feels calming and intentional.
Across cultures, chrysanthemum has been enjoyed in different ways. In East Asia, it is valued for its cooling, serene nature and often sipped before periods of focus, after richly spiced meals or as part of evening unwinding. In Thailand, it is served chilled as a refreshing summer drink with light natural sweetness. In India, chrysanthemum appears in Ayurvedic-inspired floral infusions, temple offerings and gentle nighttime brews appreciated for their soothing aroma and clarity.
Hand packed in small batches at our gluten-free Sydney facility, these delicate buds retain their brilliant colour, soft fragrance and Haute Couture character.
