How to Use
- Use 1 tablespoon per 500 g meat, seafood or vegetables as a base measure
- For smaller portions, use 1 teaspoon per 150 to 200 g
- • Warm the spice blend in 1 tablespoon oil to release aroma before adding liquids
- Stir 1 tablespoon into 400 ml coconut cream for a quick Panang-style curry base
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons to noodle soups or broths for Thai depth
- Rub 1 tablespoon with 1 tablespoon oil over 500 g chicken, prawns or tofu before grilling
- For milder heat use ¾ tablespoon per 500 g or increase coconut cream
- For more heat add fresh chilli alongside the spice blend
Quick Panang Paste base
- Mix 1 tablespoon spice blend with 1 tablespoon oil and a small splash of water
- Optional: add puréed onion or garlic if desired
- Cook gently until aromatic
