Description
Certified organic virgin White Chia Seed Oil is a rare expression of one of the world’s most ancient micro-seeds that yield only a whisper of oil with each first press. Our certified organic White Chia Seed Oil is slow-pressed only once from premium Salvia hispanica seeds, then allowed to gravity-settle so that fine seed particles naturally rest at the base. Unlike commercial seed oils, which are refined, heated, bleached or solvent-extracted, this gentle, minimal-intervention approach preserves the oil’s delicate aroma, its naturally occurring antioxidants and its silky, feather-light texture.
Bottled unrefined, untouched by heat, chemicals or filtration, it reflects the seed’s true character: delicate, silky and quietly expressive.
Chia oil is remarkably scarce. Each tablespoon requires approximately 8,000 to 10,000 seeds, yielding only 15 to 18 percent natural oil. This low yield defines true first-press craft and reflects the purity and concentration of the seed itself.
White chia was revered in pre-Columbian civilisations, valued by Aztec and Mayan communities as a sustaining food and ceremonial offering. Today, cold-pressed chia seed oil is appreciated for its refined flavour, subtle warmth and silky feel, equally suited to elevated culinary use and minimalist botanical skincare.
Cold-pressed chia oil naturally contains polyunsaturated fats, including alpha-linolenic acid, a plant-based omega-3, along with omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin E and seed-derived antioxidants retained through gentle extraction.
Its ultra-fine texture makes it a favourite in contemporary botanical skincare and plant-based culinary formulations.

Ayurvedic Context
Though not native to India, chia seed oil aligns closely with Ayurvedic qualities of Snigdha (unctuous), Mridu (soft) and Shita (cooling). Traditionally appreciated for its gentle, harmonising nature, it is considered soothing for Pitta yet comforting for Vata when warmed. Its silk-like texture makes it ideal for delicate facial massage and restorative evening rituals.
