Description
Description
Rose Harissa is celebrated across North Africa and the Middle East for its balance of warmth, smoke and gentle perfume. Traditionally prepared as a paste, harissa is known for its vivid red colour and assertive heat. Rose Harissa carries this depth while introducing a softer aromatic dimension that suits both heritage and contemporary kitchens.
Spice Zen’s certified organic Rose Harissa honours this tradition in a refined dry format. Toasted chilli, smoked paprika and black pepper create slow-building warmth. Cumin, coriander, fennel and caraway provide earthy structure. Red rose petals and lemon peel bring floral lift and citrus clarity. The result is bold yet composed, layered and expressive.
Unlike traditional oil-based pastes, this dry blend contains no oil, preservatives, salt or citric acid. It keeps beautifully and offers complete control. Mixed with boiling water and olive oil, it becomes a smooth, vibrant harissa paste ready for cooking. Used dry, it enhances roasted vegetables, grains, grilled meats, seafood and yoghurt-based dishes with aromatic warmth.
Where classic harissa centres on heat and smoke, Rose Harissa introduces floral nuance and brightness. This subtle shift gives it remarkable versatility, particularly in vegetable-forward, Mediterranean-style cooking.
Hand-roasted and stone-ground in small batches at our gluten free Sydney facility using certified organic botanicals selected for purity and aromatic clarity. Packed fresh in recyclable amber glass jars to preserve colour and fragrance.
